The corpse of the first victim of Ebola Virus Disease in Nigeria, Patrick Sawyer, a Liberian man who died at First consultants hospital, Obalende, Lagos on Friday, has been cremated.
He was cremated to further stop the spread of the disease. World Health Organisation (WHO) also warns that, cremation is ideal for safe disposal of bodies of persons who die during the outbreaks of highly infectious diseases such as Ebola Virus in order to minimise further transmission.
