Stephen Keshi Sends Acceptance Letter to NFF.His notice of acceptance was said to have been handed to the NFF by one of his assistant coaches.
Keshi, 52, had been heavily linked with the South African job, reportedly asked the NFF to provide him with an official residence and car, as part of his new deal, while he has also told top officials that he wants to be paid on time.Keshi has earlier indicated his desire to continue as head coach of the Super Eagles, but wants several improvement in working conditions of his new deal.
The African champions start defence of the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) title on September 7, when they host Rwanda in their first qualifying match.They visit South Africa four days later before facing another trip to Sudan on October 11. Keshi initial contract expired at the end of the 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil, where they reached the round of 16.
In his three-year spell, he led Nigeria to victory in the Afcon championship in 2013 and as also qualified the country to a fifth World Cup.Nigeria face Rwanda on September 7, in their first qualifying game ahead of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
