Singer Ray J Norwood charged with sexual battery, vandalism, resisting arrest

Ray J Norwood has been charged with four misdemeanors in a case in which he's accused of grabbing a woman's buttocks, smashing a police car window and spitting on a cop.




Ray J the younger brother of Brandy Norwood – got into an altercation with police at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel after being ordered to leave over his ‘rowdy’ behaviour, and now faces four charges of resisting arrest, three counts of assault and battery, two counts of vandalism and one of sexual battery, all of which are misdeneamour offences, TMZ reports....

The offence relates to the singer brushing up against a woman’s butt at the hotel, but police said at the time the contact was incidental, not intentional. After being asked to leave the hotel, Ray J, who is best known for appearing in a sex tape with the girlfriend Kim Kardashian refused to go so security made a citizen’s arrest. 

Law enforcement officers then arrived at the scene and the R&B star allegedly kicked out the back window of the police car and spat in an arresting officer’s face as he was being handcuffed.
