After winning their 10th Champions League title, Real Madrid Football Club has been named the best European club in the World at the 2014 ECA Awards.
The Spanish giant scooped the award at the ceremony held on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Geneva, Switzerland with the club’s vice president, Pedro Lopez present at the function to receive the awards.The other big winners at the 2014 ECA Awards were Celtic and Red Bull Salzburg.Other top winners were Celtic football club who picked up the Best Achievement: Marketing award for their use of a stadium-wide Wi-Fi network and a mobile app that provides match day content and Red Bull Salzburg took the prize for Best Sporting Progress.Real Madrid has won a record 32 La Liga titles, 19 Copas del Rey, 9 Supercopas de EspaƱa, 1 Copa Eva Duarte and 1 Copa de la Liga.[9] Internationally it has won a record ten European Cup/UEFA Champions League titles and a joint record three Intercontinental Cups, as well as two UEFA Cups, and two UEFA Super Cups....
